We are constantly tackling projects, selecting methods, avoiding foodwaste and offering more meatless dishes in order to reduce CO2 emissions and thus take further steps towards “sustainable gastronomy”.
For example, we have significantly expanded the range of vegan and vegetarian dishes and regularly try out plant-based alternatives for meat.
But now there is something completely new: VEGAN FISH! Doesn’t exist, you think? Gibt´s doch und zwar von Ordinary Seafood. Because we are as curious as you are, we would like to try this plant-based alternative for fish and thus have a promotion tomorrow at noon, Wednesday, September 20, at PAPA.
Because the way fish are currently farmed and marine animals are fished is bad for the animals themselves, their habitats in the waters and also for our health.
The Ordinary Seafood team wants to do something against this and is developing vegan alternatives for salmon, tuna and shrimp at the Potsdam Science Park.
However, they not only make sure that the taste and texture are the same as the originals, but also the nutritional characteristics. So that nutrients and energy that the real fish and real seafood provide are also brought by their plant alternatives. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? If you want to know more about it, please have a look at https://www.ordinaryseafood.com/de/home-de.
Tomorrow at PAPA we will have a pasta with vegan salmon alternative from Ordinary Seafood with tomato, leek, red onion and fresh dill.
Come by tomorrow for lunch at PAPA and give the vegan fish a try.
We are looking forward to your feedback! Feel free to write us at gastronomie@pace.berlin if and how you liked it.
