"Start me up!" is the start-up competition of WELT/Axel Springer SE and was launched in 2015. Once a year, the jury, which is made up of experts and top-class representatives from business and science, honours the best business idea of the year and awards a prize at a ceremony in Berlin. The prerequisite for an application is an innovative and technically ambitious business model from all sectors of the economy; there is no restriction to specific industries.
