Together, we’ll watch the exclusive BILD.de livestream of Mozart’s opera “The Abduction from the Seraglio,” live from the Berlin State Oper.
This production deliberately bridges the gap between the classical and the contemporary. Bülent Ceylan, one of Germany’s best-known comedians, takes on the speaking role of Bassa Selim. Director Andrea Moses has designed the production to appeal even to people who have had little exposure to opera thus far.
Comedy, drama, and classical music come together to bring Mozart’s work to life in a new and surprising way.
