PACE takes another important step towards SUSTAINABLE GASTRONOMY – with TIFFIN LOOP!

The TIFFIN is not a new thing at PACE. The sustainable reusable system for your to-go food has been available at the PAPA and the CANTEEN for some time now. But the procedure of how you can borrow the TIFFIN in the future will change from September 4.
You can find out how this works and why you should definitely take part. By the way, starting September 4, we will charge a fee for the disposable bagasse packaging we offer as a To Go disposable alternative. One more reason to choose TIFFIN if you want to take your food with you.

 

One of our sustainability goals at PACE is to eliminate one-way waste, thus setting an important tone for environmentally conscious food enjoyment.
If you too are concerned about not producing one-way waste, then simply use the TIFFIN as your to-go transport option.

And it’s quite simple – here are the four most important steps for the loop:

Simply download the TIFFIN Loop app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
You can then discover places where you can get the TIFFINS.

At the restaurant, you simply show your QR code in the app and then receive your food in the TIFFIN box. Completely without plastic, completely without waste!

Enjoy your food, in a tasteless stainless steel tiffin.

Just bring the rinsed TIFFIN back to one of TIFFIN´s partner restaurants. Have your QR code scanned there, so the TIFFIN becomes part of the loop again and available to others. You have 14 days to do this.

If you keep the TIFFIN longer than 14 days, the TIFFIN becomes yours and there will be a one-time 20 € fee. Now you can use the container at home without any deadlines, but it would be better to bring it back and make it available again in the loop. Because only then the TIFFIN LOOP actually work.
As soon as the container you purchased is back in the loop, you never have to stick to the 14-day return period.
But if you leave your container at home and you get a new container, a new 14-day period starts with that new tiffin.
If you paid already for several containers, you can borrow as many containers as have been paid for without a return period and use them at home, for example.

Note: Nevertheless, it would be ideal for a functioning loop if the containers go back into circulation and are not at your home.
Thus, for a truly reusable cycle, it is best to return the TIFFINS promptly.

During the production of the TIFFIN containers plastic is avoided, because they are completely made of stainless steel.
Every time you use the TIFFIN reusable system, you avoid packaging waste and thus make your contribution to sustainable living.

No more time to eat on site? But anything to transport food with you and don’t want disposable packaging? No problem – you can spontaneously borrow a container at any restaurant that is a TIFFIN LOOP partner and return it later.
And it´s free – all you need is the TIFFIN LOOP app or the TIFFIN Card. (all info you will find below)

PRACTICAL

The TIFFINS are not only sustainable and immediately available, but also designed to be quite practical! Thanks to the handle they are easy to carry and can also be stacked wonderfully if you ever have several to transport. By the way, there’s also a special bag for this – the TIFFIN Bag. And if something is left over, put the lid on and stick it in the fridge. This keeps everything fresh to enjoy later.

 

REAL ENJOYMENT

One thing is clear: no one likes the taste of plastic or cardboard. With the tasteless stainless steel TIFFINS, everything tastes the way it should. Bon appétit!

ALTERNATIVE TO THE APP – THE TIFFIN CARD

There is another way to borrow or use TIFFIN for yourself: With the TIFFIN Card.

The TIFFIN Card is available in our restaurants at the price of €20 each. It then entitles the holder to the sole and permanent use of a TIFFIN and does not have to be returned. It is as if you are buying them.
In this case, no registration is required, the process is completely anonymous, so that you can also rent or give away the TIFFIN.

Returning them is not possible here, but you can of course pass them on to someone who is interested in using them.

If you want to have more than one TIFFIN, you would then have to buy more than one TIFFIN Card.
You can also use the TIFFIN LOOP app AND the TIFFIN Card.

SUMMARY

Convincing arguments and easy handling for a good cause!
With TIFFIN LOOP you take part in a deposit-free, uncomplicated and safe reusable system. So join in. If you already have a TIFFIN, then simply bring it with you and decide for yourself whether you would like to be refunded the former deposit value of €15 on your house card or directly receive a TIFFIN Card worth €20 in exchange. You can easily make this “exchange” at all restaurant cash counters.
