From American bagels to French baguettes and Canadian deli classics: Get ready for six weeks of culinary discoveries, fascinating stories, and new favorite snacks for breakfast, coffee breaks, or when you\u2019re feeling a little hungry.<\/p>

What makes it special: Every loaf of bread has a story behind it. Some recipes have evolved over centuries, while others were influenced by immigrants or have become an integral part of their country\u2019s culinary culture.

Many of Montr\u00e9al\u2019s famous delicacies have their roots in the recipes of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe. At the end of the 19th century, they brought their knowledge of curing and smoking meat to Canada, thereby leaving a lasting mark on the city\u2019s deli culture. <\/p>

The so-called \u201cMontreal Smoked Meat,\u201d which is often compared to pastrami, became particularly well-known. Served on rye bread, it has become a true classic and remains an indispensable part of the city\u2019s traditional delis to this day. <\/p>

Black beans have been one of the most important ingredients in Mexican cuisine for centuries. Long before meat became a regular part of the diet, they were an indispensable component of many meals and provided valuable nutrients for daily life. <\/p>


In Mexico, beans are traditionally served in tortillas, stews, or as a side dish. Today, however, they\u2019ve also found their way into modern recipes and are constantly being reimagined.
